Just a quick short post today. After I had posted the early pictures of the cattle rub, I noticed something else in the picture that may draw some curiosity. It is the black object in the left of the picture.

The object itself is an inverted car tire. Just a regular old car tire turned inside out. It is nailed on to a piece of wood. They are set out at watering holes and filled with salt and minerals that the cattle need to stay healthy. It's called a salt lick or a mineral lick.
