Creativity

People who live in small towns can be very creative about helping each other and the community.

My family owns several businesses in our small home town.  They sell pastured poultry, publish the local newspaper and have a fitness center.  Recently they got together to sponsor the "Great Pound Pluck-Off."

The newspaper publicized the event, the fitness center is available for contestants to work-out in, and the free-range poultry operation is donating the prize - the weight of the winner's weight-loss in fresh CHICKENS!

Now that is unique.

The contest started in February, and during that month the contestants who weighed in lost a total of 103 pounds.

And, the Pluck-Off donated the entry fees to the new swimming pool project, a total of $375.00.

Yay for them.

Thanks for stopping by.  The coffee is always on.  Black - no sugar or creamer.  Adds unnecessary fat and calories.
