Nebraska Daredevils

We were reminded recently by an AirBnB guest that not everyone is familiar with country life. She wondered why the homes (in the rural areas) were so far apart? We discussed with her farming and ranching, and how much land they need, and then she began to understand.

We caught the photos below on the Sutherland Cemetery Road, known locally as the Bottom Road. It's only about a quarter of a mile south of Interstate 80. I wonder what folks like our recent AirBnB'er think of these?

What we call Crop Dusters are professionally referred to as Aerial Applicators. No matter what you call them, these pilots provide a vital service and are brave and reckless souls!
