Through the Seasons Part 1

I have a new goal - to show you my beautiful little corner of Nebraska through the seasons. The photo below was taken at about 6:00 p.m. on May 5th - Cinco de Mayo!

It is from the top of a hill (see, Nebraska is not ALL flat!) just north of my home. It looks to the north across the North Platte River valley. The river itself is in the trees in the middle of the photo, with the Sandhills rising in the background.

The fields have all been prepped for the spring planting. In fact, there is corn already in the ground in most of the fields that you see.

I have pledge to take a picture from this same spot on or near the same day each month. A year from now, you will have seen it through all the seasons, and I will have had twelve no-brainer blog posts!!

Thanks for stopping by. The coffee is always on.

  1. Is that the hill you would have turn left off of to go toward the McVay's? I was trying to figure out where you are.

  2. Exactly right! I thought it shows a good mix of prairie, trees and crops. It will be fun taking a picture there every month.
